CIM Group, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, is a transformational urban real estate investment, development and infrastructure firm founded in 1994. CIM is the owner and developer of the East and Middle Parcels of the Sunset La Cienega project, formerly known as the Sunset Millennium project. CIM acquired the East Parcel and the Middle Parcel in November 2011. The West Parcel, on the west side of Alta Loma, has already been constructed and is not owned or operated by CIM.
CIM has engaged Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, LLP (www.som.com), an internationally-celebrated architectural firm, as the Architect of Record for both the East and Middle Parcels. For the residential component on the Middle Parcel, SOM is collaborating with Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects (http://www.loharchitects.com), another celebrated architect who has worked extensively in the City of West Hollywood.
For construction of the project, CIM has engaged Suffolk Construction (www.suffolk.com) as the General Contractor. Based in Boston and locally headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, Suffolk is one of the most experienced and capable builders in the country, ranked 18th by Engineering News Record (ENR) in their list of the top 25 residential contractors for 2012. Suffolk has completed nearly 10,000 residential units in the last decade and has constructed more than 7.4 million square feet of hospitality space.
